At MiBH we have over 35 volunteers supporting us across a wide number of projects in Brighton and Hove and East and West Sussex. They contribute an enormous amount of time, skills and knowledge and we will taking time to recognise this during this week.

International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia - May 17th 2024
The International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia was created in 2004 to draw attention to the violence and discrimination experienced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex people, and all of those with diverse sexual orientations, gender identities or expressions, and sex characteristics.
Mental Health Week 2024
Mental Health Awareness Week (MHAW) takes place from Monday 13 – Sunday 19 May 2024. The theme, as set by the Mental Health Foundation, is “Movement: moving for our mental health.” This year, MHAW aims to encourage you to move your way by finding something that moves your body and mind.

Brighton & Hove Council’s Deaf Services Liaison Forum is holding a Community Event as part of Deaf Awareness Week 2024 on Saturday May 11th at Brighthelm Centre from 9am-1pm. Open to all.

Recovery Partners
Recovery Partners is a user-led mental health charity working in East Sussex. They are working with Heads On, Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust's NHS charity, to deliver co-produced research with a specific focus on nature based recovery. The research is to explore into what people with severe mental illness would like to see incorporated into mental health services in Sussex, with an initial focus on the new Coombe Valley mental health hospital in East Sussex.
