Training

We offer a range of training courses to help businesses and community voluntary organisations to increase awareness of mental health in the workplace.

Our Courses

Our courses help businesses and community voluntary organisations to promote good mental health and wellbeing, increase awareness and build resilience in the workplace. We can offer courses in person and online.

You can book individual places on our courses via Eventbrite here. Or to book in-house training for your organisation, please contact us using the form below or email info@mindcharity.co.uk

Mental Health Awareness (for all)

Our Mental Health Awareness Training provides a general introduction to mental health, including the impact of stigma, recognising the signs in those around you, ways to start the conversation with someone you’re concerned about and how to look after your own mental health and wellbeing. The course also provides valuable information about available local services. Usually offered as a half day or full day course, but short talks or workshops also available. Maximum 12 participants.

Managing Mental Health in the Workplace (for line managers)

This training looks at the impact of how mental health is managed on employees and employers, providing tools to help managers understand mental health and improve communication in order to better support employees at work and to manage absence. This course also explores how employers can create a mentally healthy workplace and promote an open culture, promoting workplace wellbeing for all employees. Usually offered as a half day or full day course, but short talks or workshops also available. Maximum 12 participants.

Building Resilience & Coping with Stress (for employees)

This workshop is designed to help employees better manage stress and build resilience. We examine the impact of stress in the workplace and look at ways to reduce stress by recognising the signs and triggers, improving communication and new ways to look after your own mental health and wellbeing at home and at work. Maximum 12 participants.

Professional Boundaries for Experienced Support Staff

This training is designed for experienced support staff who already have an understanding of professional boundaries and who work in situations where boundaries are complex or challenged. We use tools in reflective practice, communicating clear boundaries and grounding techniques to explore maintaining supportive boundaries and working with complex boundaries.

The Five Ways to Wellbeing

This fun interactive bitesize workshop explores the Five Ways to Wellbeing, encouraging us to Connect, Be Active, Take notice, Keep Learning and Give. The Five Ways to Wellbeing are a widely used evidence based tool developed by NEF (the new economics foundation). This workshop offers a simple, effective technique for all to improve their wellbeing by embedding the Five Ways into our day to day lives. Maximum 20 participants.

Bespoke Training

We can also offer bespoke training for businesses designed to meet the specific needs of your business, group or organisation. This could include adapting one of our existing courses to meet a specific need, for example, our Mental Health Awareness Course for young people. If there is a specific topic relating to mental health that you would like us to develop a course on, please get in touch by contacting us on 01273 66 69 50 or info@mindcharity.co.uk or complete the form below.
