Celebrating Volunteer Week 3rd - 9th June 2024.
Thank you to all our Volunteers
At MiBH we have over 35 volunteers supporting us across a wide number of projects in Brighton and Hove and East and West Sussex. They contribute an enormous amount of time, skills and knowledge and we will taking time to recognise this during this week.
Volunteers' Week is a chance to celebrate the amazing contributions volunteers make to communities across the UK. The celebration starts on the first Monday in June every year.
We value the amazing commitment our volunteers bring all year round - but it’s a chance to recognise, celebrate and especially thank our incredible volunteers for all they contribute in supporting clients work and our organisation.
Feedback from our volunteers:
This service makes my lived experience a positive thing. Peer Mentor
‘It made me see that if you're talking to a person who understands what you're saying, it helps so much. My mentor was amazing!’ Mentee
‘I enjoyed being part of a professional environment for the first time, where the services focused on mental health and felt that the role of the organisation fitted well with my interests. I felt like I had something to offer.’ Volunteer Mental Health Advice Service
‘I thought the volunteer training session was very good. It went through everything that the Lighthouse does in some detail, explained what our volunteer roles would be and what the challenges were. It was great to have a member present to talk about his experience’ Volunteer Lighthouse Service
