World Mental Health Day - 10th October 2024

This World Mental Health Day, the World Health Organisation (WHO) is uniting with partners to highlight the vital connection between mental health and work. This year the theme is ‘It is Time to Prioritise Mental Health in the Workplace’.

Employed adults spend more time working than any other activity during their waking hours. In a myriad of ways, and at its best, work can provide a livelihood and be a source of meaning, purpose, and joy. However, for many people, work can detract from their mental health and well-being in ways that result in excessive distress and mental ill health.

World Mental Health Day 2024 is a chance to highlight various aspects of mental health at work, from workplace conditions and stress management to the importance of social inclusion and empowerment. For more information go to who.int/campaigns/world-mental-health-day

At MiBH we will be promoting the day in several ways through our website, social media and through awareness raising events. During the week we are joining two wellbeing events being held in in Hangleton and Knoll and Kemptown to raise awareness and provide wellbeing resources and information on our services. Check out our news section for information on both events.

You can also attend our Free Mental Health Awareness Webinar for World Mental Health Day on Thursday 10th October 2024 1.30 – 2.30pm. Click here to register.

We will also be out in the city giving out workplace wellbeing information, and free resources so if you see us about in our blue Mind t-shirts please come and say hello!
