We know that bullying can seriously affect someone’s physical and mental health whatever age they and sustained bullying can cause long term stress, emotional issues, social problems, physical disorders and in some serious cases, self-harm or even death.

If you are experiencing bullying it can be difficult or feel unsafe to speak about it or ask for support. The advice is to speak to someone you trust about what is happening to get support but there are also services available where you can also call to get advice and help if you prefer.

Adults and Children and Young People

The National Bullying Helpline provides support to anyone struggling with bullying issues, whatever the nature of them. It is open to adults, young people and children – whether the bullying is in the home, the community, the playground, the workplace or on-line.

They also have a wide range of online resources which give advice and information. The National Bullying Helpline is open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
