Men’s Health in November
The month of November celebrates both Movember and International Men’s Days, both aimed at raising awareness of Men’s Health Inequalities and Men’s Mental Health.
Movember write: ‘A growing number of men – around 10.8M globally – are facing life with a prostate cancer diagnosis. Globally, testicular cancer is the most common cancer among young men. And across the world, one man dies by suicide every minute of every day, with males accounting for 69% of all suicides’
Movember invite anyone who can to ‘grow a mo’ during November, as a visible symbol of support for men’s health and to help tackle stigma around men’s mental health.
International Men’s Day also takes place on the 19th of November. The theme this year is Men’s Health Champions. You can read more about Men’s Health via International Men’s Day here.
